Ride Safe

Our Safety Principles

Protecting our brothers on every journey

Wear Your Armour

Your body is an amanah (trust). We expect all riders to wear full protective gear - helmet, armoured jacket, gloves, and proper boots on every ride.

Bike Check

Give your machine a once-over before heading out. Tyres, brakes, lights, and fluids - a few minutes of checking can prevent hours of trouble.

Mind on the Road

Stay present and focused. Watch for hazards, anticipate what drivers might do, and always ride with a clear head.

Ride Your Ride

There's no shame in riding at your own pace. Push your skills gradually and consider advanced training to build confidence.

How We Ride Together

When we ride as a group, we move as one unit. The goal is simple: everyone gets there safely, calmly, and together. If you want to ride fast, ride solo. In the pack, we ride smart.

Road Captain

Leads the route, pace, and overall safety of the formation.

  • Sets a safe speed for road conditions and the least-experienced rider.
  • Keeps the group visible and predictable with clear positioning.
  • Calls fuel stops and regroup points.

Offset Positioning

We use staggered spacing to improve visibility and reaction time.

  • Alternate left-right within the lane, not side-by-side.
  • Keep safe gaps and avoid aggressive gap-closing.
  • Switch to single file smoothly when needed.

Tail Rider

The Tail Rider protects the rear and watches the whole line.

  • Stays at the back and monitors the group.
  • Helps with safe lane changes and pull-over situations.
  • Communicates issues forward.

Drop-Off Marker

Prevents riders from getting split at turns and junctions.

  • Markers hold safe positions to indicate direction.
  • Rejoin only after the Tail Rider passes.
  • If stopping is unsafe, do not stop.

Communicate Clearly

Signals must travel through the full group.

  • Repeat hand signals down the line.
  • Use clear calls: hazards, stop, fuel, regroup, single file.
  • If unsure, hold position and follow the rider ahead.

Hold Position & Pace

Predictable riding keeps the formation stable.

  • No weaving, overtaking, or jumping gaps inside the group.
  • Use smooth throttle and braking to avoid accordion effects.
  • Group pace is for safety, not speed.

Stay Connected

Let someone know where you're going and when to expect you back. Share your location with family - it's not just smart, it's responsible.

Respect the Weather

Rain, wind, or poor visibility? We slow down or pull over. No ride is worth risking your safety - we can always reschedule.

Be Prepared

Key riders carry basic first aid and tools. We encourage all members to learn basic first aid - you never know when a brother might need help.
